Personality: tries to be calm and wise but is easily distracted. He thinks he's the "balanced" one of the duo but is just as accident-prone.
Signature Flaws:
Catchphrases: "Purity of spirit.. and clumsiness of body."
Background History: White Ninjit studied at a prestigious ninja academy but was expelled after mistaking the principal's bonsai tree for an enemy spy. He believes his white outfit symbolizes enlightenment, but really it just makes him a walking target. He insists he's the "brains" of the duo, though his plans usually involve ladders that collapse or disguises that fool no one.
Personality: Black Ninjit carries himself with intense, theatrical seriousness, convinced he is a destined warrior even though reality constantly proves otherwise. He speaks in dramatic, pseudo-philosophical riddles, trying to project wisdom while barely understanding his own words. Beneath the brooding exterior, he's emotional, clumsy, and easily flustered, especially when his attempts at stealth or heroism go spectacularly wrong. Every moment is an opportunity for a grand entrance, a sweeping monologue, or a tragic stumble--and he treats even minor setbacks as epic trials of fate.
Signature Flaws:
Catchphrases:
"The shadows whisper, but I whisper louder."
"Stand back. Destiny calls me."
"My technique is flawless. My landing.. optional."
"Pain is temporary. Embarrassment is forever."
Background History: Born into the Sakuraba Clan, a once-respected ninja family known for dramatic flair and questionable competence. Trained under multiple masters, all of whom retired early due to "stress-related reasons" Believes he is the reincarnation of a legendary warrior--he is not. Joined Master Ninjit's dojo after misreading a flyer that said "Free Snacks." Has been trying to unlock his "true potential" for 12 years, with mixed (mostly disastrous) results. Keeps a personal journal titled "Chronicles of the Midnight Dragon"--it's mostly doodles and motivational quotes
Personality: Stoic and reserved, speaks only when necessary--and usually to express disappointment. Deeply philosophical, often muttering ancient proverbs that don't quite apply to the situation. Patient to a fault but visibly deteriorating from years of watching his students fail gloriously. Secretly dramatic, with a flair for slow turns, long sighs, and poetic monologues about honor.. interrupted by pratfalls.
Signature Flaws:
Catchphrases:
"The wind teaches.. but you two never listen."
"I have trained squirrels with more discipline."
"Your technique is.. interpretive. Painfully interpretive."
"Perhaps.. we start again. With breathing. Only breathing."
Background History: Former elite ninja known as The Whispering Blade--could defeat enemies without making a sound. Recalled after a legendary duel where both combatants vanished in a cloud of smoke.. and reappeared at a tea ceremony. Founded the Hidden Pagoda Dojo, hoping to pass on his wisdom to the next generation. Unfortunately, the only applicants were Black Ninjit and White Ninjit. Has spent 17 years trying to teach them stealth, discipline, and balance--but mostly teaches damage control. Keeps a scroll of shame hidden in his sleeve, chronicling every failed mission. It's now 37 feet long.
Personality: Sweep is quiet, observant, and almost invisible--by choice. She keeps her head down, broom in hand, pretending to be absorbed in her cleaning while secretly studying every technique the Ninjits attempt. She's humble, thoughtful, and genuinely kind--but beneath that softness is a razor-sharp instinct for movement, balance, and timing. She never boasts, never interrupts, and never asks to join training.. yet she's the only one in the dojo who actually understands what she's doing.
Signature Flaws:
Catchphrases:
"Oh.. I was just cleaning."
"I'm not a ninja. I just sweep fast."
"Please don't look at me. I'm invisible if you don't look at me."
"I'm really not supposed to be here."
Background History: Sweep was hired as a part-time janitor because she was "small, quiet, and unlikely to break anything." What Master Ninjit didn't realize was that she grew up practicing Martial Arts in secret, learning from old books and mimicry. She imitates every move she sees--perfectly--while the Ninjits flail around in chaos. She's mastered stealth simply by being ignored. She's mastered balance from carrying buckets. She's mastered discipline from cleaning up after everyone. Master Ninjit has no idea she's actually better than him. Black and White Ninjit barely know she exists. One day, she'll prove it to them all--just not intentionally.
Personality:
Uragirimono is plump, pompous, and perpetually furious. He stomps around the dojo kitchen like a war general, wielding
ladles like weapons and berating vegetables for "disrespecting his art." He claims to be a master chef trained in the sacred
kitchens of Mount Koji--but can't fry an egg without summoning smoke demons. His temper is volcanic, his ego unmatched, and his cooking.. catastrophic.
He's also a spy. Planted by the Obsidian Whisper Clan to monitor the dojo's activities, Uragirimono was supposed to blend in and gather intelligence. Instead, he blended spices and gathered food poisoning.
Signature Flaws:
Catchphrases:
"You dare insult my sauce?"
"This is Ponzu! It's supposed to taste confusing!"
"I trained under Chef Tsunami. He boiled air."
"That scroll? That's my recipe. Or my orders. Depends who's asking."
Background History:
Uragirimono was sent by the Obsidian Whisper Clan to infiltrate the dojo under the guise of a cook. His mission: observe, report, and
prepare for sabotage. But he took the culinary role too seriously--not the spying part, just the yelling and flamboyant food disasters. He believes Sweep is his sous chef. He believes
Master Ninjit is a food critic. He believes Black Ninjit is trying to steal his recipes. He believes White Ninjit hates his cooking. His reports include:
